Timber company awards Masterframe's PVC-U windows highest accolade Masterframe's PVC-U sliding sashes look so convincingly like wood that a rival company used the publicity shots to sell its own timber windows! Browsing the internet, Managing Director Alan Burgess was more than a little surprised to see a photo of a Masterframe PVC sash installation on a competitor's website (see image). But he was shocked to find the picture of an Edwardian country house came under the headline 'timber sash windows'! In fact, this was a photo Alan had taken himself, of the personal property of Romsey Conservatory Company owners Simon and Jo Romsey, part of Masterframe's Bygone Preferred Installer Network. "This company supplies PVC-U and timber sashes," says Alan, "so to promote our windows as wooden is a truly great accolade. In fact, the company's given our customers a fantastic sales tool. With our Bygone Collection window, homeowners get all the benefits of the leading PVC-U sash (low maintenance, A-C energy ratings and Secured By Design) and the beauty of 'timber'. And now, installers can show that even those in the industry can't tell the difference! "As a manufacturer of premium sash windows we are often disappointed to find competitors 'stealing' our images. We've experienced everything from a company that passed itself off as 'the manufacturer of Bygone Collection windows', to a Scottish firm that cut and pasted 20-odd pages from our brochure into its own. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but in seriousness this latest scam is a flagrant breach of copyright. We'd recommend that any company tempted to do the same explores our supply options instead!" Image caption: A screenshot of the rival's webpage shows just how authentically 'timber' Masterframe's Bygone Collection PVC-U sashes look!
