We set out to create and manufacture the finest sash windows available retaining the elegant proportions of traditional sash windows whilst incorporating the very best of modern day materials, eliminate the maintenance problems and drafts that original timber sash windows have become known for.
In an age when cost cutting, engineering to a price and standardisation is the norm – we take a completely different position.
Since the company was formed in 1988 we have dedicated enormous resource into making sash windows even more authentic, we’ve challenged ourselves to find ways to improve the
appearance of the windows, reduce maintenance,
enhance the security, the thermal efficiency and be environmentally responsible manufacturers.
We are material neutral
; we offer both wooden sash windows and PVCu sash windows, many people - industry commentators, conservationists, local planners have congratulated us on achieving our aims.
Some say wood is good, others that plastic is fantastic. You can choose either, both materials have environmental issues, some good some bad. Our duty is to provide all the information, so you can be confident that your decision is a sound one, and one that you’ll be delighted with for years to come
When the Planning Inspectorate Representative overturns a council objection saying
“the window (Bygone PVCu) appears to replicate a traditional sliding sash window very closely. The effect is so convincing that it is difficult to differentiate between the two, even at close quarters” we take great heart that we are achieving what we set out to do.
