If I'm happy with a standard window, can I use a Local Double glazing contractor?

A: Sure, if you know a double-glazing company that comes highly recommended or one you have used before you may like to use their services. They will probably be FENSA registered but the question is, just how familiar are they with sliding sash windows? All too often, these companies sell a few sash windows a year, their fitters are unfamiliar with the special fitting requirements of double glazed box sash windows and they may struggle with demanding tolerances, or use the wrong type of fixings (we have our own to simplify installations).
