Manufacturing Standards
All Bygone Collection Wooden Sash Windows are manufactured in a state of the art factory to exacting standards whilst being assembled and finished by craftsmen to British Standard 644.
Engineered Timber
Unlike many other timber window companies Bygone Collection Wooden Sash Windows are manufactured from 100% FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) ‘Chain of Custody’ European Redwood giving the consumer peace of mind with regards to sustainability.
All of our timber profiles are made from high performance laminated timber to ensure strength and consistency as well as the long term durability that comes from a fully engineered product.
All joints are glued and pinned with corrugated fasteners.
Preservation
Bygone Collection Wooden Sash Windows offer customers a superior range of windows which have significant environmental and durability advantages over traditional vacuum impregnated joinery products.
All timber is Boron Wood Preservative treated which unlike vacuum impregnation is not classified as an environmental hazard as it is naturally occurring and does not bio-accumulate. This treatment provides a 30 year guarantee against rot and fungal attack assuming maintenance and care advice is followed.
Paint Finish & Durability
Due to the Bygone Collections high environmental values, Bygone Collection Wooden Sash Windows are painted using factory applied high performance microporous water based coatings that are guaranteed for 10 years. We are also able to offer stained finishes backed by a 5-year guarantee.
Glass & Glazing
The sealed units are manufactured to EN1279 and carry a 5 year guarantee. The sealed units have a clear 5mm between its edge and the timber of the sash. The glazing shall be 4mm Low Iron: 16mm Argon gas, Thermix spacer bars: 4mm Soft coat Low E en.040.
Beading
Internally beaded to maximize security in Bygone Collection Wooden Sash Windows we offer a ‘puttyline’ effect to the exterior and an attractive ovolo internally.
Cill Options
To match the distinct requirements of your property Bygone Collection Wooden Sash Windows offer flush, standard, sub and extended cill options.

All Bygone Wooden Sash Windows are fitted with distinct and unique acorn furniture available in the following colours:-

- Antique Brass
Our spring balanced window will be fitted with Torso Balances guaranteed for 10 years.
